Your path forward begins here.

As the world has become increasingly complex, many are overwhelmed with high-stress jobs, information overload, depression, and anxiety. This, combined with an inability to find the time or motivation for exercise and wellness, reduces our ability to manage stress, which often spills into our relationships, work performance, and quality of life. Long-term stress and anxiety can cause depression and keep you from having the life you want. For those with ADHD, these effects are magnified. The pandemic has made many re-evaluate their lives, goals, and values.  Many see the benefit of focusing on their well-being and discussing their thoughts and feelings with a professional.

Therapy is a unique opportunity to learn more about yourself and why you think and feel the way you do.  Processing through feelings helps us understand ourselves and learn new perspectives that can help reduce negative emotions. We’ll work together to identify any underlying root causes of problems that hold you back from a happier, more fulfilling life. Together, we’ll work to increase your understanding of your current challenges and identify practical ways to improve how you manage your stress, anxiety, and emotions.

Schedule an assessment appointment today and begin working to create the life you want!

The Benefits of Therapy for Adult ADHD

Adult ADHD can bring challenges to every aspect of life. Therapy is an important tool to help you overcome those challenges and thrive by harnessing control of your natural self. As an Adult ADHD Specialist, I provide therapy from an ADHD-informed perspective to help you better understand the unique nature of your ADHD and how it affects your success at work, at home, and in relationships.

First, we’ll focus on fully understanding the nature of your ADHD and what executive skills are strengths and which are more challenging. Everyone with ADHD has some superpowers that you may already be using to compensate for areas of weakness. Knowing yourself completely will create a path for overcoming the difficult aspects of ADHD. We’ll work on finding practical solutions for common ADHD problems such as impulsivity, distractibility, hyperactive mind, inability to get started, procrastination, disorganization, task avoidance and paralysis, poor time management, uneven productivity, emotional reactivity, and relationship problems. Learn how problems like low self-esteem, perfectionism, and negative self-talk can contribute to depressive episodes, anxiety, and a lack of progress on goals.

Client Reviews

Jon: Finding a therapist that fits with you and your needs can be a challenge, it has been for me. So, it’s thrilling to have found Craig who has been a wonderful therapist! He has helped me connect with myself and support my journey/growth in meaningful and empathetic ways, has said many things that have stuck with me, been a good listener and conversationalist, and provided resources and takeaways that have truly been beneficial. He is also someone who understands what he is good at, and is willing to consider if/when someone else might be a more qualified fit for specific needs/goals, which is such an important trait in a therapist. You can tell he does care about doing this work well. I am glad I found Craig.

Jonathan:

Craig is masterfully patient, and deeply skilled at helping people like me with ADHD gain confidence, and a healthy perspective on their executive functioning challenges. Since starting to work with Craig, I have been able — for the first time ever — to identify areas of struggle in my working life/daily operating procedure, and actually work on them in tangible ways. If you have ADHD, he’s worth meeting.

Casey:

Craig excels at prompting an open and honest discussion, without judgement. He doesn’t simply offer up solutions, which lets you come to them yourself. It’s really helped me guide my adhd so that I’m not fighting it but working with it.

Khalil:

Looking for somebody to help navigate my ADHD and the challenges that come with it daily, and eventually met Mr. Mead. Who along with being well-versed on the matter, also gives and helps lead to creative solutions that I can implement regularly, leading to in my experience so far a overall more manageable and productive way to live life despite life’s challenges with ADHD.

Heard in Chicago: Always cheerful, kind and smiling, Craig Mead is an excellent listener. I was seeking help for depression and anxiety due to adult ADHD. Craig was able to help me evolve strategies to ease my symptoms and resolve the root causes. We’re all a “work in progress” our whole lives, and I’ve made good positive progress with Craig’s help.I highly recommend him!
